Project 2: Motion Graphics
1.1 Animated Instructable Poster (Individual)
This assignment is continuous from our Project 1.
Project 1: Instructable Poster
To ease my animating process, I begin by designing each frame in Adobe Illustrator.

fig 1.1.4 part 2 animating progress in AfterEffects 27/2/22
My final animation is actually 2 minutes long, however the requirement is 60 seconds in maximum so I have to fast forward some of the frames in order to cut the duration down. The best that I can get is at 1 minute and 7 seconds, I hope it is still acceptable.

1.2 Kinetic Typography (Group)
For our group assignment, we have to make a lyric video for a song that we have picked. My group decided to go with this song by Lauv and Troye Sivan, we think the title perfectly reflect how are we feeling towards all these assignments hahahah.

We begin by breaking down the lyrics and dividing our parts. I am in charge for the second half of verse 2.

To make it feel less overwhelming to me, I divided the animating process into 3 parts.
1. Introduction & Preparation
2. First half of the making process
3. Second half of the making process, Serving & Closing

For the sounds, I download all the essentials from YouTube. I wanted to use my all time favourite game, Harvest Moon Ost as the background music for this project as I think it suits the content. The online mp3 converter tool that I usually use somehow got problem so I downloaded them all in mp4 format except for the fairy dust sound effect since I already have it in my computer.

1.3 Chart (Individual)

Another individual exercise is to make a chart animation in AfterEffects. There are 4 different charts and I was assigned to make the donut one.

REFLECTION
After these many AfterEffects exercises, I realized how much I did not enjoy the process of animating. Well, maybe it is because I am still not that familiar with all the tools yet. There were so many things that I intend to do but just cannot figure out how to do it exactly, which then result in a very limited animation. I just cannot imagine how long does it take to make a full 2 hours smooth animation, might just as well turn crazy. This love and hate relationship I have with AfterEffects, I am trying my best to stick up. Adios for now pal, looking forward to not see you again in the next semester (which probably will not happen).
